A short stop-motion animation written and directed by Ieuan Lewis and George Warren, which follows an Inuit who struggles to survive after an oil tanker leaks oil off the coast of Alaska, killing all the wildlife in the area. I had the pleasure of working on this animation as both a concept/storyboard artist and model maker.
The film received funding from the BFI and BBC’s Animation 2018 scheme, beating out 300 other contestants for a place on the programme. The film premiered to a sold out screening (500 People) at BFI Southbank and a BBC Broadcast on BBC Four following a documentary exploring the best of British animation. The film was also made available on the BFI Player and BBC iPlayer.
Uki has screened at a selection of film festivals including Animex, Anny Nights New York, BFI Future Film Festival, Our Fest and won Gold at the 2019 Creative Conscience awards.
